Setting goals for what you want to do with your guitar playing
Working out what it is that you actually want to do with your guitar playing can make you make a load of progress. It will help keep you motivated even when you get challenges in your playing. And keep you focused on doing the right things as well. So think of the things that gets you the most excited about the guitar.

Do you want to play with your friends? Do you want to perform? Or do you want to be able to pick up the guitar and make it sound great whatever you are playing?

Getting the information that to take you there
Now that you have your goals set, you need to get the right information in getting you there. If you can find the information on what you need to learn, and practise etc on your own. Then that’s great. If not, getting an expert to help you to get a plan together will save you a lot of time.

Once you have the right information in a plan. Then you need to start implementing it. So that you can start improving your guitar playing in the right direction.

Having faith in your plan
Once you have your plan in place, you need to put your full trust and faith into this plan. And in doing so, put your best effort in.
If you don’t put your best effort in, your plan will never materialise. And you will be wondering why it didn’t work. Why your guitar playing is still not improved, or what are you doing wrong.

So let’s make sure that doesn’t happen. You need to put the accelerator on, so you can find out what works great for you. And what isn’t working in your plan that you might need to change.

Getting your plan reviewed every few months
When you put your best effort into the guitar practising and playing plan that you have. You will find some parts of it is working for you better than other parts. So then it’s time to review it.

We recommend every three months is a good amount of time to do so. You may need someone to help you to go over the plan as well. This way you know you can trust in what you are doing. And have confidence that you are doing the right things to get you to your goal.

Getting a professional guitar teacher to help you
Get a professional guitar teacher who is right for you. This will help you progress faster on your guitar playing than you could do so yourself.

For the steps we stated above. You would feel a lot of confident if you had someone who knows what is achievable for you to help you set your goals. And someone who can do a plan for you and give you all the right information so you don’t even need to worry about it.

Finally, having someone to help keep you accountable as well, and to encourage you to keep going even when it’s hard. They can help you make a lot of progress than you can do so by yourself in much shorter space of time.

Knowing how to practise guitar correctly
It’s often worrying to us how many people even with the best teacher, the best information. And don’t know how to practise well.
This is definitely one of the key steps to improving your guitar playing at a rapid speed.
