At Gold Coast School of Guitar, we believe learning music should feel less like school…
And more like gathering around a fire with friends.
That’s why we created The Campfire Club — a group guitar experience for adults 40+ who want more than just chords and charts.
This isn’t about becoming a rockstar. It’s about building confidence, community, and creative joy — one song at a time.
Why We Started
Years ago, I was teaching one-on-one lessons when a student in his 50s confessed:
"I’ve always wanted to play guitar… but I thought I missed my chance."
That hit me. I realised most music programs are built for kids, teens, or aspiring pros.
But what about everyone else?
What about adults who want to reconnect with creativity, unplug from the daily grind, and just enjoy music in good company?
So I started something different.
A space where adults could gather, learn songs they actually love, and leave each session feeling better than when they walked in.
That’s how The Campfire Club was born.
You don’t need to “learn guitar.” You need to play songs.
We make that possible.

We’re not here to overwhelm you with theory or pressure you to perform.
We’re here to help you:
Learn real songs in a relaxed, song-first environment
Build skills through group support, not solo stress
Connect with others who are also 40+ and just getting started

What Makes Us Different
Most adult guitar classes either teach like school… or feel like jam nights with no structure.

🎶 Adults 40+ only — no teenagers, no pressure, no pretense
🎶 Monthly rolling membership ($279/mo) — join, stay as long as you like
