Life gets busy.
Work. Family. Responsibilities.
Before you know it, years have passed and the guitar is still sitting in the corner.
The Campfire Club exists to help adults finally keep the promise they made to themselves.

Before there were lessons...
Before there were songs...
Before there was a guitar sitting in the corner...
There was a promise.
"One day."
One day I'll learn. One day I'll have time.
One day I'll do something that's just for me.
Then life happened. Work. Children. Responsibility. Bills.
Self-doubt. Years passed.
For many people, the guitar stayed under the bed.
Not because they stopped caring.
Because life became louder than the quiet voice inside that kept whispering...
"One day."
If you've been saying "one day" for years...
Maybe today is the day you finally begin.

I didn't create The Campfire Club to produce great guitar players. I created it because I believe life has a habit of pushing the things we love aside.
Not forever.
Just until...
"One day."
The Campfire Club is where adults finally keep that promise to themselves.
One song at a time.
One laugh at a time.
One small win at a time.
Because I believe something very simple.
It is never too late to become the person you quietly hoped you could still be.

Learning guitar shouldn't feel intimidating.
It shouldn't feel like school.
And it certainly shouldn't leave you feeling like you're the only one struggling.
Around the campfire, nobody is trying to impress anyone.
Everyone remembers what it was like to be new.
That's why you'll find people encouraging each other...
laughing at mistakes...
celebrating small wins...
and discovering that learning alongside others is much more enjoyable than trying to figure it all out alone.
The goal here isn't perfection.
It's helping ordinary adults enjoy playing songs together with confidence.
At The Campfire Club...

Learning should feel safe before it feels challenging.
Adults learn by doing, not by being overwhelmed with information.
Playing songs builds confidence.
Progress matters more than perfection.
Music is better when it's shared.
Every adult deserves to be seen and heard.
These beliefs shape everything I do—from your very first lesson to every song you learn afterwards.

Allen Hopgood - Founder of The Campfire Club
Years ago, life pulled me away from music too. For several years, my own guitar sat under the bed.
Like many adults, I became busy building the life I thought I was supposed to live.
Until one day I realised something. I wasn't just missing playing guitar.
I was missing a part of myself.
Picking up that guitar again wasn't simply about learning songs.
It was about giving myself permission to reconnect with something that had always mattered to me.
That's why I teach the way I do today.
Because I've learnt that adults don't need more information.
They need encouragement.
They need small wins.
They need a place where they feel comfortable enough to begin.
That's exactly what I hope you'll find at The Campfire Club

Walking into somewhere new can feel daunting.
Almost every member tells me they were nervous before their first session.
Within a few minutes they realise something...
Everyone else once felt exactly the same.
Your free discovery session isn't a test.
There's no pressure to perform.
It's simply a relaxed opportunity to meet me, see how I teach, and experience what makes The Campfire Club different.
You'll play your first song, ask as many questions as you like, and leave knowing whether this feels like the right place for you.

If you've spent years thinking...
"I'd love to learn guitar one day..."
Perhaps this is your sign to stop waiting.
I'd love to help you take that first step.
Your campfire is waiting.
