At Gold Coast School of Guitar, we specialize in helping adults over 40 start (or restart) guitar in a way that’s fun, friendly, and pressure-free. You won’t be learning scales or theory. You’ll be learning real songs in a supportive group setting, designed specifically for adults.

Each block gives you a short setlist to master, so by the end of the year, you’ll have a go-to list of songs you can play with friends, at parties, or just for your own enjoyment.

Membership Options
Core Membership: 1-hour weekly group class. Learn at your pace in a relaxed, adult-only setting.
Confident Strummer Membership: 2-hour weekly group class. More time, more connection, deeper skill building, and small-group jamming.

What if I am the worst in the room?
You won’t be. You’ll be with others at your skill level, so you’ll feel comfortable and supported from the start.
Do I need to read music?
Nope. We’ll learn by playing songs — not by reading notes or getting bogged down in theory.
What if I have arthritis/sore hands?
Totally fine. I’ll adapt chords and pacing so you can play comfortably and still make progress.
What do I need to bring?
Just a guitar, a pick, and an open mind.
Is there parking? Is it easy to get to?
Yes — there’s free street parking out front or just around the corner. Easy second-floor studio access. (Note: no wheelchair access, sorry.)
What happens in the free intro session?
You’ll play a full song, get clear next steps, and experience the vibe — no pressure, no hard sell.
